In-Transit Permits
An In-Transit Permit allows a person to transport a vehicle or trailer which is not currently registered from one location in Alberta to another location within Canada. They are valid from three to seven days, depending on where the vehicle is going.
If you are driving the vehicle within Alberta, you must provide a Valid Insurance Pink Slip and Driver’s Licence to receive an In-Transit Permit from Rangeland Agencies.
If you are driving the vehicle into or out of Alberta, you must provide a Bill of Sale (or other proof of ownership), as well as a Valid Insurance Pink Slip and Driver’s Licence receive an In-Transit Permit from Rangeland Agencies.
